My wife and I wore out this album when we started dating one sweaty Providence August forty years ago. We still break out the battered vinyl now and then. Just a great 1970s sound: bluesy, soulful, funky. Mitchell is at the top of his game, as are Herman Riley, Freddie Robinson, and the rest of the crack band.
